Hemlock Highlands has been raising show stock and high quality highland beef since  1995 it is a family owned business operated by John and Jean Bates.  Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience and tremendous value for our customers.  Providing a high quality beef with an outstanding flavor not only for our family but for our community brings us joy.
John’s love for Highland cattle came from his Welsh grandfather who remembered the breed from his boyhood, and collected Highland art.  John, having grown up admiring the beautiful animals on canvas was destined to become a Highland breeder.

We raise our Highlands in Sedro- Woolley, Washington, a small town located in the foothills of the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range.

We proudly raise our cattle with love in a natural setting with open pastures and NO antibiotic feed.  Respecting the beauty of the Highland cattle and enjoying the benefits of the high quality beef that is naturally lower in cholesterol and fat, making Highland Beef the go to choice.
